Town Stimulus Update - Quarter Ending 3/30/11

The Town of Colonie was awarded $661,900.00 in Federal Stimulus money as part of the Federal Recovery Act passed in 2009.  These funds combined with Town funds totaling $338,125.00 were used to replace a boiler at the Colonie Community Center and replace the four heating and air conditioning roof top units at the William K. Sanford Town Library.  As part of our pledge to keep Town Residents informed of the progress on this project you will see an update each quarter on the project and the savings the Town has achieved.

Activities:

The project is complete – All equipment has been installed and is operational.

Savings:

The Town has realized the following savings to date:

Energy Dollars Saved – this quarter - $2,148.00 – Project to date - $15,545.00

Green House Gas Emissions Reductions – Project to date - 4.3 Tons Updates on GHG reductions will be reported on an annual basis.

The bulk of the savings come from the units at the Library during the cooling season.  Johnson Controls will be making some adjustments to the equipment monitoring to capture additional savings.
