NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF THE
TOWN OF COLONIE
The Latham Water District will begin its yearly flushing of the water system on Monday, March 23, 2009 and conclude on May 21, 2009*. PLEASE NOTE: during the weeks of March 23 thru 27 and March 30 thru April 3, the flushing will be performed during the day between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Beginning Sunday, April 5 flushing of hydrants will be performed in the evening between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m . Residents may notice discoloration of their water while we are flushing the hydrants. This is normal and it is not harmful. However, we would caution residents to check their water before using washing machines or other appliances that use water. If discoloration persists, please notify the Latham Water District at 783-2750.
*Please note the flushing program has been extending until June 11, 2009
