Newtonville , NY —Colonie Town Supervisor Paula Mahan and Parks & Recreation Director Don Myers announced the season opening of the Colonie Town Pool will be this Friday, June 27 th at 12PM.

“The Town Pool offers Colonie residents an affordable day of family fun and excitement,” said Town Supervisor Paula Mahan. “Whether you're a kid or a kid at heart, this facility is a great way to beat the heat and stay active during thehot summer months.”

The pool, located on Schermerhorn Road off of Route 9 in Latham, will operate daily from 12 to 7 P.M. and residents can take advantage of a 50 meter Olympic sized pool, diving boards and several other swimming areas. In addition, the park has a bath house with an expanded snack bar and menu.

“Our department works hard to ensure this facility is a fun, safe way for families to enjoy the summer months together,” said Parks & Recreation Director Don Myers. “As families budgets are stretched thinner, we aim to offer a great value for all residents.”
